OUR BABY SHOWER

A MAGICAL DAY HOSTED BY MY MOTHER AT VILLA ROSA, CELEBRATING BABY SABO UNDER THE OLIVE TREES!

What an incredible day - and Lisa Vanderpump truly outdid herself! My mother turned Villa Rosa into the most stunning oasis filled with pale blue confections, under a canopy of ribbons and crystals, to host an intimate lunch for family and a handful of very close friends. It was one of the most magical days of our entire lives, and Jason and I couldn’t be more thankful to be able to have this lunch and celebrate our baby.

My mother, as usual, went all out on the decor - filling this fragrant, beautiful space with the most stunning array of teddy bears, bunnies, white and pale blue flowers, and glittering ornaments. Hanging in front of the table was an amazing gift - a handmade baby chandelier from Nick & Elena Alain, complete with mini baby ornaments (there’s even a baby Yoda!) The entire table was stuffed to the brim with hydrangeas and roses, all hand placed by my mother!

Due to COVID, and the fact that (even vaccinated) we are being excessively safe for the baby, it was a very small list of people invited (other than family and Nick & Elena who live with us as we work on the new restaurant at Paris Las Vegas!). Everyone who came was vaccinated and supplied a negative COVID test within 24 hours of the lunch - and at the entrance, we then had another COVID testing area, where people could socially distance, drink Champagne and write notes to Baby Sabo while they waited to be cleared to enter! It really helped me feel safe throughout the lunch!

The proud Grandpa-to-be was looking dapper as always… even with a few tears in his eyes!

I had a few things I wanted to bring, so I found a company that made tiny bear cakes and dessert pops, which I am still in love with! I thought they were so beautiful. I am not much into baby shower games, so we simply had a really adorable music station for Baby Sabo, where guests brought Vinyl Records to start his record collection - and then wrote hand written notes of why that album was important to them. We also had a “guess the due date” calendar where the winner will win some Champagne once he’s born!

My mother made a beautiful meal - smoked salmon bagels, chicken chopped salad, caprese salads, tuna tartares and beet towers … and I complemented with homemade cocktails served in Baby Bears and Baby Bottles, for fun! Our nearest and dearest toasted the baby, enjoyed some pretty hilarious conversation, and helped us honor this special time in our lives. All in all, it was an incredibly special day that Jason and I consider ourselves so lucky to have been able to have. We are very excited for this new chapter, and can’t thank everyone enough for the well wishes! Darling is also very excited to become a big sister (although we think she may have believed this party was for her!)
