CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD

Who doesn’t love an ooey-gooey, rich banana bread straight out of the oven? The yogurt really makes this recipe delicious - it’s silky, decadent and falls apart in your mouth! Enjoy!

(Makes 1 loaf)

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup salted butter (room temperature)

3/4 cup white sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 and 1/2 cups flour 

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp sea salt

½ cup Greek yogurt

2 over-ripe bananas, smashed

1 ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

PREPARATION

1.     Preheat the oven to 350˚

2.     In a stand mixer, combine the butter and sugar. 

3.     Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until combined.

4.     In a separate bowl, stir the flour, baking soda, and salt together.

5.     Gradually mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until combined.

6.     Add in the yogurt and the mashed bananas and mix until combined.

7.     Gently stir in the chocolate chips.

8.     Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan. 

9.     Spread the mixture evenly into the pan.

10.  Bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

11.  Cool for at least 15 minutes.
